Detail Image

The purpose of this book is to collect and provide information for Researchers involved on projects which involve large numbers of war graves. In no way does it seek, or is it intended, to trespass on the domain of the Australian War Graves Office or their dedication in the services they provide to next of kin.

Because we have no really large war cemeteries in Australia, the ordinary citizen usually does not know a great deal about the truly magnificent work done by the War Graves Commission. I did not - so I hope this information helps others.

James McClelland, OAM
